Migros' Road to Net-Zero: Integrating Category-Based and Product-Specific F&B Impact Assessments

📅 July 31st 2024

When Migros, leading swiss grocery retailer, launched M-Check in 2016, they used average generic emissions factors at the category level to calculate the impact of their food products. This meant that all dipping sauces received the same rating, whether they were fully plant-based or included cream. While this approach sufficed for establishing baseline emissions and complying with reporting standards like SBTi and CSDR, it had a significant drawback: it provided limited actionable insights for effective emissions reduction.

In this webinar, Markus Linder, CEO and Founder of inoqo, and Andrea Roberto Rota, Migros' Sustainability Expert, will delve into the key challenges and innovative solutions for reducing scope 3 emissions in the food retail sector when relying on average generic emissions factors.

Markus Linder will present inoqo's latest inoqo Category Assessment+ offering and explore how retailers can:
✅ Start assessing and reducing their Scope 3 emissions using inoqo's dynamic category-based emission factors
✅ Dive deeper into hotspot categories with inoqo's product impact assessment solutions
